Janusz Wojciechowski was accepted as a member of the European Court of Auditors. Earlier PiS MEP was negatively evaluated by the European Parliament. They voted against his candidacy politicians of the Civic Platform.
As announced on Twitter Polish Press Agency, which refers to diplomatic sources, EU ministers approved the candidacy of Janusz Wojciechowski Member of the European Court of Auditors.
13 April the European Parliament rejected the nomination Wojciechowski. His candidacy did not support the politicians of the Civic Platform. The final decision, however, belonged to the Council of the European Union.
Members of the European Court of Auditors are appointed for six-year term. The Council, after consulting the European Parliament, decide about candidates put forward by the Member States.
