U2 leader criticizes Poland and Hungary. “They present hipernacjonalizm.” – Cable Republic

The leader of the legendary band U2 Bono criticized on Tuesday during his speech before the US Senate will set some European countries towards immigration crisis. According to him, “Poland and Hungary present hipernacjonalizm”, which weakens the unity and the ability to deal with major challenges.

The artist spoke Tuesday before a subcommittee of the US Senate. Bono asked politicians for more funds to help refugees, because in his opinion, is the best defense against extremism.

According to Bono growing problem becomes nationalism. He added that European leaders need to address it and deal with, because in the 40th century led to disastrous consequences. In his opinion, it is in Poland and Hungary, most recently seen a shift towards right-wing views. – I’m talking about existential threat for Europe, which has not been since the 40s we see as Poland and Hungary move to the right in the direction of a hipernacjonalizmu, hiperlokalizacji, which, I think, is a response to globalization. The artist also stressed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is “an extraordinary leader”, because it works for the unity of Europe and take action to solve the problem with refugees and this despite the opposition of part of his own party. – He deserves to be rewarded for their peaceful activities – rated.
