Unveiled a plaque commemorating the National Assembly – Cable Republic

In Poznan in Poznan International Fair, held its first ever away session of the National Assembly. The solemn deliberations of both Houses of Parliament, organized to celebrate the 1050 anniversary of the baptism of the Polish and the beginnings of Polish statehood opened Marshal Marek Kuchciński, a message delivered by Andrzej Duda. After a solemn meeting of the Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchciński and Andrzej Duda, President unveiled a plaque commemorating the National Assembly.

– The baptism of Prince Mieszko I is the most important event in the whole history of the Polish state and nation. He was not, but it is, because the decision of our first ruler decided about the future fate of our country. (…) Then I was born in Poland, was born from the waters of baptism to the new Christian life. Born to the world, starting from the prehistoric age and entering the arena of European history. He born for us and for himself as a national community and political. Since then we started to talk about themselves – we Poles. This is what he meant John Paul II, saying: “You can not without Christ to understand the history of Polish” – said the president Andrzej Duda, in an address before the National Assembly in Poznan.
