In Stuttgart began a two-day congress populist Alternative for Germany (AFD). Opponents, however, blocked access to the venue and clashed with police. Officers arrested more than 600 people.
Congress Alternatives for Germany tried to disrupt a thousand left-wing demonstrators. Protesters set fire to tires and blocked roads to the meeting place. In addition, opponents of AFD firecrackers attacked the police, who in response fired tear gas and water cannons.
At the congress Alternatives for Germany there are approximately 2,000 delegates who will debate, among others, on the adoption of the program of the party. It is expected to adopt a manifesto anti-Islamic.
