The European Parliament will decide on the resolution ws. Polish – Czech Television

The European Parliament has adopted today a resolution on the ongoing dispute over the Constitutional Court of Poland. Voting is scheduled for 12:00 o’clock. Although several projects prepared document, it will only take one that enjoys the support of five political groups – the Christian Democrats, socialists, greens, liberals and communists.
                 

The resolution will summarize the debate in plenary with the participation of Prime Minister Beaty Szydło and first Vice-President Frans Timmermans, held on 19 January. It is not legally binding.



Motion majority: Paralysis Polish TK is a threat to democracy, human rights and the rule of law

The resolution has 12 points and calls on the Polish government to respect the opinion of the Venice Commission on the Law on the Constitutional Court and the publication and implementation of its judgments, as well as the Venice Commission. “The European Parliament is seriously concerned that the actual paralysis of the Polish Constitutional Court is a threat to democracy, human rights and the rule of law” – is written.

Other projects
