The 3.30 am lasted stormy debates of the Justice and Human Rights ws. The new draft law for the Court, worked out on the basis of proposals made by the Law and Justice. The law has yet to be adopted at the sitting of the Sejm.
Originally Committee on Justice and Human Rights had last seen the amendments that have been submitted to the new draft law on the Constitutional Court (by PiS) during the second reading, which It held yesterday in Parliament. Today was supposed to also take a third reading of the draft.
Yesterday evening the President of the Commission of Justice and Human Rights Stanislaw Piotrowicz said, however, that the withdrawal of the Code of civil draft law on TK, Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchciński decided to return ws the bill. TK (by PiS) to the Commission for proceeding from scratch. Currently, the only basis for new work will be project by the Law and Justice.
After sending the bill on TK to the Commission of Justice and Human Rights, the deliberations on the project lasted until 3.30 in the morning.
Finally, committee, after much discussion, which lasted more than seven hours, recommended the project majority of 15 members of the committee. Against were six deputies, none abstained. The Commission also adopted over 30 amendments of Law and Justice to the project.
The opposition believes that there has been a violation of the legislative process – it’s a way of proceeding on sent back the project.
