Changes for phone users on the card shall enter into force – Cable Republic

From Monday 25 July, begin to apply certain provisions of the Anti-Terror Law. Among others those on the phone card. When selling prepaid card, a provider of telecommunications services will verify details of the person buying.

When you buy a prepaid card you will need to provide your personal information. Telecommunications service provider, will require the customer name, last name and social security number or series and number of identity document, and in the case of foreigners from outside the European Union, will be checked the passport number or residence card. If the pre-paid card, retailers will have to verify the identification number REGON or NIP, or number in the National Court Register or the business register.

The Supplier shall not have the right to start providing telecommunications services until they confirm the identity of the person who buys .

According to the anti-terrorism law, current phone users on the card, until February 1, 2017 must confirm their data. After that date will be off the card, which users do not give up verification.

In Poland, about 29 million people are users of phones on the card.
