The National Broadcasting Council has published a full list of companies that are seeking entry into the multiplex MUX8. These include Discovery, owner of TVN and Polsat Scripps Company. The tender starts Agora, with its TV channel also will compete Virtual Poland.
The Council shall decide tender for concessions on four channels. In the first competition starts Superstacja, Cable Television Networks & amp; Partners (a Canadian company, which in Poland via satellite gives the channel CTV), Radio Eska, Discovery Poland and the TV Zone (company Agora, the publisher of, among others, “Gazeta Wyborcza”).
Broadcasters will compete to create the channel, which will be the station informing about what is happening in different parts of the Polish. It also has to promote the idea of self-government and local communities.
The second competition concerns stations of a universal, in which – according to NBC – most programs will be devoted to “the development of society, economy, culture and transformations of manners in modern conditions of rapid development technical and technological “. This may also be a program focused on new media and set to interact with the audience.
Among willing to boot from this channel include: Eska, Polsat, Discovery, Joy Media (part of the Agora) and the company WP1, which is part of the Group’s Virtual Poland. The plans start in the competition, the company announced last week.
– Creating a channel WP1 on MUX8 be another step in the development of the Group HR, which will allow us to achieve synergies related to the production of multimedia content and the process of technological integration of internet and TV – said then Jacek Swiderski, president of Virtual Polish.
In the third competition for the channel to promote sport and physical activity, whose task will also be reporting on cultural and artistic events, start as many as seven companies. Among them are Digital Repository Film (operating from 5 years the company has engaged in, among others, the reconstruction of old films and their distribution), TV Spectrum (a company related to the Group SMPS, which is the owner of Eska), Polsat, Discovery, Scripps Networks, TV Puls Green Content (Agora).
In the last auction on channel featuring movies and TV series, as well as entertainment programs are involved: Digital Repository Film AETN Poland (a subsidiary of the American giant A + E Networks related capital with the British group Sky), TV Spektrum, TV Movie (a joint initiative of Polish filmmakers, the distributor of the movie Cinema World and the Group SMPS), Polsat, TV Puls, PTA ( agora).
– The contestants in the competition will now be asked to supplement the documents sent to us. Then, their applications will be assessed in terms of financial, programmatic, technical. There is no single date of completion of the proceedings – says Katarzyna money.pl Twardowska with NBC.
He added that the Office of Electronic Communications has yet to address the matter with the company Emitel same for television broadcasting.

In addition to the channels and broadcasters selected in a competition for MUX8 multiplex will also include three programs of TVP. All stations will have nationwide coverage.
