The Federation Council (the upper chamber of the Russian parliament – Ed.) has agreed to use its troops in Syria – said the head of the Kremlin administration, Sergei Ivanov.
TASS news agency reported that the decision was taken unanimously., and the proposal on the matter referred to the Federation Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin. – Appropriate decisions on the funding and support of Russian troops in Syria have already been taken – said Ivanov.
He added that the Kremlin, at the request of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, will use its Air Force only against the militants Islamic State ( IS). Ivanov stressed that the decision of the Council of Federation FR is consistent with international law.
