We remember the people of the media – Press Portal

Andrzej Turski died on 31 December 2013 at the age of 70 years. He was a radio and television journalist. Work in the media began in 1968, the editorial board of the Polish Radio youth, then became its director and editor-in-chief. In the years 1982-1983 he was head of Radio Three, and in the years 1983-1987 – Ones, whence it passed to the Polish Television. He was one of the creators of “Teleexpressu” and director of TVP 1. In 1991, he was deputy director of the Television News Agency. For 18 years, powadził magazine “7 days – the world ‘, first aired on TVP 2, TVP and then at 3 and – after a few years break – BBC. From 2002 he worked in the “Panorama” TVP 2. From the conduct of the service he resigned a few weeks before his death. At the beginning of December 2013 in went to the hospital. He struggled with diabetes, he also fought cancer. Colleagues and students remembered him as “a giant of journalism,” which “was ahead of its time.”

February 4, 2014, died Tadeusz Mosz , economic journalist associated with Polish Television and Radio Tok FM. He was 60 years. Since 1980 he has been associated with Polish Television, where he created and led programs: “How is it, as it may be, as it should be, or how to transform a centrally planned system to a market”, “Open Studio”, “Marketplace”, “You say Mosz” – and the most famous “Plus Minus”, aired (with interruptions) in the years 2001-2013. In August and early September 2014 two American journalists lost their lives as a result of executions carried out by members of a paramilitary organization of the Islamic State (ISIS ).
