Kremlin, meanwhile, is expanding its media empire. Today started broadcasting in 30 languages new multimedia news agency of Russia.
The management of the London offices of Russian state television RT (formerly: Russia Today) has called for a meeting with Ofcom, the British equivalent of the National Broadcasting Council. Ofcom told RT about the three cases give the RT extremely biased and unreliable relationship with the war in Ukraine.
According to British law, Ofcom, besides regulating TV market in the UK is also watch of to the British media, follow the rules journalistic fairness. In case of further violations of these rules threatens RT fine, at worst withdrawal of license to broadcast.
The Kremlin, however, extends its global media empire. Today in Moscow started operating a new, internet-radio-TV news agency Sputnik News. Funded entirely by the state, Sputnik will broadcast on abroad in 30 languages. It will have a large, several dozen offices in dozens of countries around the world, including in the UK, Finland and Germany.
Sputnik did not intend for the event to open an office in Warsaw, but will create materials, among others, in Polish.
