At a meeting of the Visegrad Group (V4) and Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia agreed on a common position towards refugees. Poland was represented by Minister of the Interior and Administration Law and Justice deputy. The conference took place in Prague and was devoted primarily focus on issues of migration.
– All countries of the V4 opposed to the mechanism of automatic relocation of refugees – the minister said after the meeting.
The Interior Minister stressed that Poland returned to activity within the V4, and a coalition of this part of Europe determines its position in Western Europe and the EU. He pointed out that the previous government PO-PSL coalition broke the solidarity of the Visegrad Group. – The result is that it was decided once for automatic relocation of migrants – said the head of the Interior Ministry.
– At my request, the prepared draft joint declaration was accompanied by two expressions. First of all Visegrad countries oppose the introduction of an automatic mechanism for relocation. The position of the Visegrad Group in this regard is solidarity – said during a briefing with reporters at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport Minister for Law and Justice deputy.
He added that the second included at the request of Polish Interior Minister to formulate concerns of the countries of Western Europe, which aim emigrants, the revision of asylum policy in those countries. – This policy is a factor in attracting waves of migration – he explained.
