The former undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Law and Justice MEP was this morning appointed president of the Polish Television. Head of the Polish Radio was Barbara Stanisławczyk. Previous board completed its work after the entry into force of the amendment of the Law on Broadcasting, which yesterday signed the President.
Head of Television News Agency was Mariusz Pilis, who was the founder and first director of the BBC. Pilis is also the author of the documentary film “Letter from Polish” showing the international background of the Smolensk disaster, as well as the movie “Rise of the stadium” devoted to the environment of soccer fans.
New head of the BBC was Grzegorz Adamczyk of Polsat.
For the position of President of the Polish Radio Treasury Minister appointed Barbara Stanisławczyk.
Recall that yesterday, President Andrzej Duda signed, among others, a law amending the Broadcasting, which has already been published in the Official Gazette. READ MORE
The Act envisages shortening the term of office of the current management board of TVP and Polish Radio, whose mandate expired today, the date of entry into force of the amendment. The new authorities will choose these media boards at the request of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and after consultation with NBC.
