The National Broadcasting Council published a report on the news on television. Results for some may be a surprise.
Monitoring took place from 17 to 23 October, just before the parliamentary elections. It included major releases information services. Among the surveyed were: “News” TVP1, “Panorama of” TVP 2, “Facts” TVN “Events” Polsat “Information on” TV Trwam, “Today” TV republic, and information on “Superstacja.
Analyzed both narration and images and thematic structure. Most of airtime were then ruling Civic Platform and the opposition Law and Justice. AFTER topic was raised by 2 hours. and 5 minutes while the PiS 1 hr. 52 minutes.
According to a report prepared by the Research Laboratory media studies at the University of Warsaw’s most equitable relationship performed the “News” TVP1. The report also praised Polsat News.
At the other extreme were the program “Today” TV Republic and “Information on “Television Trwam. The second TV did not fulfill the requirement of equal treatment committee during the debate Kopacz-Awl. – The TV Trwam we are dealing with ignoring pluralism, for 98.8 percent. This was part of one of the election committee – representatives of the National Broadcasting Council said at a press conference .
NBC also criticized the small presence of women on television. Their statements are only 16 per cent. of time. Although the two major parties as candidates for the office of the Prime Minister issued the women, it is still a little exposure is alarming.
