“25 years of Polish ministerial enough!”. Protest in front of the house of General … – Television Republic

Several dozen people protested outside the house of General Wladyslaw Ciastoń, which in the period of martial law, he served as deputy minister of internal affairs and head of the SB. The appeal was read memory and tribute was paid to the victims of those dramatic events.

In 1956 he headed the Department of Ciastoń IV Committee for Public Security at the Council of Ministers. Then, after October 1956 UB has evolved into a SB was wicezeszefem Division III, whose tasks included the fight against “anti-state activities in churches and religious associations”. During martial law was promoted – he was not only the deputy head of the Interior Ministry, but the head of the entire SB. He was accused of instigating the murder of Blessed Father Jerzy Popieluszko, chaplain of ‘Solidarity’.

Before the house Ciastonia Lublin Union Square in Warsaw, gathered dozens of people. The demonstrators brought a banner with the slogan “25 years of Polish ministerial enough!”. “Honor and Glory to the heroes!”, “Once a sickle, hammer time, the red rabble” – chanted.

The participants in reading the appeal of Remembrance and sang Rota.

The decision to introduce martial law was approved December 5, 1981 by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Gen. Jaruzelski was free to choose a particular date of commencement of operations. In the night from 8 to 9 December 1981 during a meeting with the visiting Warsaw Marshal Viktor Kulikov gen. Jaruzelski told him about planned actions.

The martial law was introduced n OCA from 12th to 13th December 1981. Residents restricted basic civil rights. As a result, died approx. 100 people arrested or interned total of over 10 thousand. Martial law was suspended 31 December 1982., And 22 July 1983. – Canceled.
