Hungary: a private television station RTL Klub has been banned from parliament – Onet.pl

Hungarian private television RTL Klub, whose biggest shareholder is the RTL Group, today announced that banned her entry to Hungarian parliament. The website contains a letter sent in this case by the press center of Parliament.

According to the report, the President of the Parliament Laszlo Koever of the ruling Fidesz party issued a ban, because the day before the team realized recording RTL Klub in part of the building in which she was not allowed to do that, because it did not have the relevant permit. RTL Klub alleged, moreover, that not for the first time breached the rules governing the work of the media in the parliament.

TV It denies that its employees acted inappropriately. It was stressed that the team wanted to report on RTL Klub press conference of Prime Minister Viktor Orban and the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, whose term was known only to the media close to the government. When there was a team of RTL, he told her that the conference is not “public”. Journalists unsuccessfully invoked the announcement of the conference, posted on the website of NATO. Eventually, the crew was derived by parliamentary guards.
