– Our ambition does not meet pat of “Silesian nation proud” of which mention both the Health Minister and the Law and Justice deputy – says the leader of the RAS, George Gorzelik.
In an interview with Onet.pl Jerzy Gorzelik very criticized in particular the policy which Civic Platform over the years leads to Silesia. He accused the current government, that’s why support for the platform in the region dramatically reduced.
This is illustrated, among others, such as the presidential election. – It is true that Bronislaw Komorowski won in Upper Silesia, but de facto, given the drop in support, it is a defeat – said Gorzelik. – Now Ewa Kopacz coming to Katowice on a white horse and proposes a formula for salvation of the region, and we want significant movement – he added.
The leader RAS also added that the plans prepared by the politicians for the region reveal stereotypical approach to the region. – Silesia is only for Warsaw mines and mining issues. The question is: what will happen after coal? As this region and the industry it should look like in 25 years – asked Gorzelik.
He demanded also give a speech Silesian regional language status and decentralization of power in such a way that people living in the region have a bigger impact on the creation of the reality.
Supporters of RAS took part on Saturday in the ninth March of Autonomy. Demanding more powers in the region and categorical changes in the law on minorities, passed through the streets of Katowice.
