Broken rail tracks. PKP Intercity train got stuck on the route – Television Republic

Tonight by Poland underwent a strong storm front, which resulted in many houses were damaged, roads and rail routes. During the night the storm in Silesia on the route between Kobiór and Pszczyna stuck one of PKP Intercity trains.

Train plied on the route Vienna – Warsaw – Warsaw and the nearest station on which he was to appear were Katowice, where he was reached at 5 in the morning. However, after an overnight storm on the route the train was broken railway traction and stuck it in the woods between Kobiór and Pszczyna.

According to preliminary information provided by the Dziennik Zachodni, the train was lost between Zebrzydowicami and Katowice around 3 o’clock in the morning. According to the newspaper, the train stopped in some of the “holes phones,” and for several hours PKP Intercity was to have trouble contacting the vehicle crew. Dziennikzachodni.pl news service also reported that after the train had to find the lost train organizing transport for 121 passengers was difficult because of the damage caused by the storms.

The information about the train being lost, however, denies the Press Office of PKP Intercity. which reported that “train the whole time I’ve made in the care of PKP Intercity.”

“There has never been any question of the loss or lack of contact. Due to storm the train was stuck near the village Kobiór (on the trail Pszczyna – Kobiór). The service had radios and cell all the time we knew where this train is located. As stated in the message, now passengers were transported by public replacement to Katowice and from there went on a longer journey.
