Polish and Ukrainian presidents in a telephone interview confirmed the need to strengthen efforts to promote peace in the east of Ukraine – informs the Office of the President.

In an interview, President Poroshenko confirmed the strategic dimension of Polish-Ukrainian relations based on common European values and readiness to deepen.
The President of Ukraine also informed about the deteriorating situation in the east of Ukraine and violations of the ceasefire from Minsk. The Presidents stressed the need to strengthen efforts for peace in Ukraine with the participation of a broad coalition of partners, including Polish.
The president Andrzej Duda assured of their wish good and intensive cooperation with the President of Ukraine and to continue the Polish eastern policy. He also informed that in the near future will be on a mission to Kiev as a special envoy of the President of the Republic Minister Krzysztof Szczerski to agree on a detailed plan for the future contacts.
