How to watch TV? “Old” TV versus new technologies – Media2.pl

Who else is watching TV today? The study IQS96 that TV receiver has almost every Pole. As much admits to watching the “small screen”. But if watching TV is still occupation in itself?

More than half of respondents claim to watch TV that uses other than the receiver electronics electronic devices. First of all it is a laptop (43%) and a computer (25%), but also a smartphone (20%) and tablet (15%) – mainly by young people (15 – 18 years). Some happens to also watch television content with a game console (4%). Universal access to networks makes it increasingly likely respondents watch Internet TV (43%), and the third Poles use VOD.
In total daily TV viewing admits more than half of the respondents (65%). First of all, they are women (72% vs. 59% men), people over 35 years of age (79%), rural residents (77%) and non-employed persons (91%). Less frequently, ie. A few times a week / month watching TV 27% of Poles. Only 8% do not watch TV. Most often they are men 25 – 34 years, with the largest cities, with an income of more than 3000 zł.

Television guests in our homes primarily in the evenings. As many as 73% of respondents admit that it was when watching your favorite shows, series and other television content. What’s interesting this time also prefer young people 15 – 18 years.

Watching TV is also often an opportunity to carry out other activities, including cooking, cleaning, ironing and other household tasks. Above all, however, this applies to women (78% vs. 43% men).

The TV in the background also allows the use of social media (33%), checking e-mail (29%), corresponding with other by sms or other instant messaging (28%), reading news information services (27%), and even playing games (17%).
