The Greek authorities announced Tuesday that sailing under the flag of Moldova cargo ship, on board of which they are – as suspected – hundreds of illegal immigrants, called for help. This unit, “Blue Sky M”, located in the area of the Greek island of Corfu.
Earlier Greek state television NERITA informed that the ship sent a call for help because of the presence of suspected armed men on board, and that the case involved are illegal immigrants.
In the Greek freighter frigate flows and the unit coastguard helicopter and flies Navy. According to representatives of the Greek authorities, the ship can be located approx. 600 immigrants.
In the northern part of the Ionian Sea, there is bad weather. Frigate “Navarino” flowing into the Moldovan freighter, participated there in search of missing Sunday’s crash site of the Italian ferry “Norman Atlantic”, which sailed from the Greek Patras to Ancona in Italy. On board the ferry caught fire. Killed 10 people, and it is believed that the missing may be 30, although it is not officially confirmed.
