“March in Defense of Democracy and Freedom of the Media” goes through the … – Television Republic

Today at. 13 in Warsaw is to start “March in Defense of Democracy and Freedom of the Media,” co-organized by the Law and Justice. The organizers expect at least 30 thousand. people.

This is the fourth march on the anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland, co-organized by the PiS. This year, takes place in the context of the events related to the recent local elections, the outcome of which has been tampered with.

The organizers ensure that the march will be peaceful – participants have to carry only the Polish flag and white and red roses.

The march is a citizen.

The Honorary Committee found, among others, the march Editor in Chief of TV Thomas Republic Terlikowski, vice president of the Republic of Television and editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Polish” Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of “The Thing” Pawel Lisicki, Michael and Jacek Karnowski – editors-in-chief of the portal wpolityce.pl and the weekly “On the Web”.

The declaration was signed by the Honorary Committee of the march of the democratic opposition activists in the People’s Republic Zofia Romaszewska, Joanna Duda-Gwiazda and Andrzej Gwiazda.

The day before the march from taking part in the honorary committee withdrew five bishops: Metropolitan of Czestochowa Archbishop Waclaw Depo, Bishop Wieslaw Mering of Wloclawek, Bishop Ignacy Dec from Swidnica, Bishop Antoni senior Dydycz with Drohiczyna, Senior Bishop Edward Frankowski from Sandomierz. Law and Justice commented on their decision.
