It takes the tenth day of the strike of nurses in the Child Health Centre. Subsequent discussions with the management of institutions, however, have not brought results. According to the Chair of the relationship of nurses and midwives in the Memorial Health Institute Magdalena Nasiłowski, the hospital management has not presented striking new proposal, but merely “virtual solution”. – Colleagues are wondering what to take further steps – she said.
The strike began last Tuesday. The nurses are demanding higher salaries and better working conditions. They add, the entire Memorial Health Institute there are simply not enough. Last year, the nurses were promised $ 400 increase, and they say, so far got only a fraction of that amount. Collective dispute nurses conducted from December 2014.
The strike of nurses is to move away from the bedside. On the other hand, in the branches, which can lead to life threatening nurses will work within the agreed schedule with the exception roster commissioned. The strike are excluded from operating theaters, pathology and neonatal intensive care unit. On the other branches remain ward nurse and one nurse.
The strike will last until further notice. In connection with the planned operations were canceled, as well as diagnostic tests, and are to be performed only treatments sudden. The strike off is not a branch of oncology.
