Members adopted a resolution on the defense of Polish sovereignty. Parliament in its resolution calls on the government to counter the activities against the sovereignty, defend the national interest and constitutional order in the Republic of Poland.
With a resolution of 257 deputies were in favor. Against its adoption there were four MPs, nobody abstained. Present in the courtroom MPs Civic Platform and the Polish Peasant Party .Nowoczesnej not participate in the vote.
The project submitted PiS deputies. As we read in the document, “The Republic of Poland, according to the Constitution is a sovereign democratic state of law. In recent times, there are attempts to prejudice the sovereignty of our country, undermine both democracy, legal order and social peace in Poland.”
“Sejm finds that the civil rights and freedoms are not threatened in our country, and the Constitutional Court can carry out its tasks of government. New legal solutions in relation to the Constitutional Court can only be established through dialogue in the Sejm. the majority in Parliament is ready to seek such a compromise in cooperation with the political parties opposition “- is a fragment of the draft resolution.
In the document, there was also a reference to the migration policy of the European Union. “Announced decisions to solve this problem have no basis in European law, violate the sovereignty of our state, European values and the principle of subsidiarity the EU. They carry also a threat to the social order in Poland, the safety of its citizens and civilization heritage and national identity” – says in the draft resolutions.
