The Visegrad Group is an informal association of four Central European countries – Polish, Czech, Slovakia and Hungary. At last week’s meeting of the representatives of public media groups in Brno, Czech Republic President of the Polish Television Jacek Kurski stressed that all these countries share common interests and similar views on many issues, including European Union policy on refugees.
– We have a large force in the Council of the European Union, we have many common interests. Similarly, we feel the breath of the East, as we are occasionally blackmailed energy from the East. We have a similar view on the issue of so-called refugees, and de facto economic immigrants, who now storming the gates of Europe and the storm cultural balance. We similarly skeptical about forcing accelerated European integration by circles doctrinal Brussels bureaucracy – explained Jacek Kurski.
The purpose of the channel is “exposing the common interests of countries formerly dependent on the Soviet Union, and now members of NATO and the European Union”. Money for the launch and operation of television would come from the International Visegrad Fund.
According to the idea of Jacek Kurski, channel routed to the Visegrad Group would broadcast in English, and the seat of the station could be countries. As the pattern president Kurski pointed to international channels such as BBC World, France 24, Russia Today and Al-Jazeera.
