Affair “Panama Papers”. Revealed new documents – Cable Republic

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists revealed documents that led to the outbreak of the scandal “Panama Papers”. The database contains information on more than 200 thousand companies, investment funds and foundations registered in 21 tax havens. It is located at: offshoreleaks.icij.org.

The database has been made public the names of companies, names of directors, shareholders and beneficiaries of companies in tax havens, addresses, names of intermediaries.

Recall that in April, through an international investigative journalism we found out that about 140 politicians, celebrities and athletes have used banking services in tax havens. Then leaked nearly 11 million documents that reveal the names of people who use similar services. These include, among others, Vladimir Putin, Petro Poroshenko and Lionel Messi. Wealthy clients served by the Panama law firm Mossack Fonseca.

The documents are the names of three Poles – entrepreneurs Mariusz Walter and Mark Profus and the former mayor of Warsaw, Pawel Piskorski. Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro said the investigation into the Polish topics affair.
