North Korea is a country where internet access is not widespread as in other countries. On the contrary, ordinary citizens can rarely use the global network and access to it is restricted mainly to high-ranking government officials and foreign tourists.
However, the regime of Kim Jong Una just launched a web TV. The service is called Manbang and uses special, approved by government bodies decoders that provide access to live TV, VOD content, as well as newspaper articles.
As you can guess, the materials offered viewers are closely matched. The VOD service can be found, among others, documents about the leaders of North Korea, as well as educational programs to help learn Russian and English.
Access to Manbang is quite limited, since the television work for now only in three cities, namely Pyongynag, Siniju and Sariwon.
