He’s dead Governor of Western Pomerania. Piotr Jania died on Sunday in Zabrze as a result of complications following heart surgery. He was 64 years.

Jania was western provincial governor in December 2015. For nearly forty years was associated with Szczecin port, he was among Vice President of the Board of Maritime Ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie. In 2008 he was decorated by President Lech Kaczynski the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Polish for activities in opposition independence.
