Until now these powers vested in the National Council of radio and television.

the national media will also run social program councils, whose task will be to inspire activities relevant to the mission of the public. Members (from nine to 15) program councils shall be appointed by the National Media Council from among candidates proposed by, among others creative associations, public interest organizations, the Catholic Church and other churches and religious organizations.
