Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz performed today to President Andrew Duda with a request for general’s promotion to Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski.
Ryszard Kuklinski was born June 13, 1930. In Warsaw. In 1963. He began to work in the General Staff of the Polish Army. In the army he came to the position of deputy chief executive officer and chief operating branch planning strategic-defense. In 1971. He began working with the American CIA. He ps. “Jack Strong.”
The decision Colonel. Kuklinski was due to the participation of Polish troops in the Warsaw Pact intervention in Czechoslovakia and events on the Coast in December 1970. The officer regularly passed the American strategic plans of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, including plans for the attack on the NATO states. Colonel. Kuklinski also informed the CIA about the planned introduction of martial law.
In 1984. Colonel. Kuklinski was sentenced by a military court in Warsaw sentenced to death for treason and demoted. Only in 1995. Military Chamber of the Supreme Court annulled the verdict.
