Again boils in the Balkans. NATO concerned about further attacks … – Television Republic

22 dead and over 40 injured. This balance of terror attacks that occurred in the Balkans only in the last few days.

Many have assumed that all ongoing conflicts in the Balkans are all gone. In recent years, the number of incidents has decreased strongly and declared hopes of upcoming times of peace and stability.

Unfortunately, even with known attacks in 1998-1999 Kosovo Liberation Army in the last two weeks effectively reminded the world about you and conflict Albanian-Macedonian.

On the territory of Macedonia, it conducted two spectacular actions. During the first trapped border guards, while the latter fought a parallel battle in the streets of the city Kumanovo.

May 9 just 50 km from the capital, police located the Macedonian troops armed terrorist group. As claimed, this group found itself on the territory of Macedonia illegally and therefore decided to clarify keep all its members.

The group returned fire. In the ongoing action for several hours until 8 policemen were killed and 10 terrorists. The other 30 were able to arrest and immediately erected charges of “planning terrorist attacks on the territory of Macedonia.”

The whole situation, its scale and the fact that this is yet another incident of this type in the region in recent times may bother. Bulgaria border areas of Macedonia has sent military and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said – I am calling all to stop the violence, to avoid further escalation. I ask this in the interest of the entire region.

Both NATO and the EU also called for the earliest possible clarification of the circumstances in which so many people lost their lives. Called for the restoration of peace in the region and not stoking Albanian-Macedonian conflict.
