The European Union strongly condemned the murder of Briton David Haines by militant jihadist group Islamic State. The recording of the brutal execution appeared on the Internet on Saturday.
– The European Union is determined to assist the international community in the fight against all terrorist organizations that threaten the stability of the region and the world – said a spokesman for EU foreign policy boss Catherine Ashton.
He announced that the EU will work with partners to “end this gruesome campaign of terror and pull all those responsible to justice.”
