Iranian state television on Sunday accused the BBC of trying to steal “of artistic, historical and cultural” documents from the archives of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The BBC did not comment on the reports, but Iran has long accused the British sender to providing its signage as cover for spies and dissidents.
According to Iranian television interview people foiled an alleged plot subordinate to the BBC in Iran. “Enemy grid BBC contrary to customs, media legislation and international law tried to steal historical documents from the official archive” – said TV.
The BBC in Farsi language is not authorized to operate in Iran and work for him is considered the activities against the law. According to the BBC, Tehran also blocks transmission in the country by this station.
