Television viewers increasingly appreciate the free terrestrial television. Respondents indicated its advantages are: no fees, no contracts and sufficient program offer. Pay TV, in turn, is expensive, and its program offer is not always in line with the expectations of customers – according to a study ARC Market and Opinion.
DVB-constant a viable substitute for pay TV competition. First – it is free, secondly – does not require the signature of the contract, and thirdly – the program offer steadily widening. Currently, companies offering pay TV face the challenge to convince customers that Pay TV offers much more than free, which is a wider, optimized for different audiences range of programming that was not available in the terrestrial range of additional services – such as the recorder or video rental. The customer needs to see a clear advantage of pay-TV, otherwise – can begin to consider resignation from her. Looking at the results of our research, customers are not fully satisfied with the services of paid and which currently enjoy. The test took place on a nationwide representative sample of size N = 1000, from 01.08 – 07.08.2014. The study was conducted using the technique CAWI (online survey) by epanel.pl panel belonging to the ARC Market and Opinion.
