Anna Sobańda: In the spring season Two resign from any talent show. Is it a part of the new strategy station?
Jerzy Kapuscinski *: In 2015, we direct your attention and your energy on Polish television series and Polish cinema. We have a lot of news, we go back to some of the series after the break, and also will be seen very clearly Polish cinema. Besides, we do not just buy a license, but also enter in production. These films, which were produced by Polish Television, will have its premiere on the air. Also disappears foreign cinema.
Do you giving up talent show is an idea for a new strategy? “SuperSTARcie” turned out to be a dud, perhaps viewers already bored of such programs?
I think it’s something in it. It seems to me that commercial radio stations put on these species, and we should look for their differences. If there are too many such programs, often overlapping in the pores of the issue, viewers can have a glut. Perhaps this is the search for a different species television is a better option. Therefore, we try to show this season, what distinguishes us from other stations.

What, then, distinguishes Twos from the competition?
I think it is a firm and probably the best offer Polish TV series.
Which of the spring series bode you the greatest success?
The success certainly will be 2 season “About Me Do not worry,” because it is series, a continuation of the viewers are still asking us. It has something fresh, it is very well written, played and has a message.
Many viewers probably also waiting on the 2nd season of “Flesh”.
Certainly. “Flesh” was probably the first role Agata Kulesza, who went to mass audiences. She was previously known for feature films, and this is a show that showed her amazing acting opportunities. I am also pleased that the director is season 2 Jan Komasa, which is one of the most famous Polish directors in recent years. This is without a doubt the expected series, I hope that the second series will be even more interesting and will appeal to viewers.
Spring on TVP2 will also “special services” Patrick Vega
Yes, this is a new phenomenon, a bit of an experiment, or miniseries. Part of the audience probably will know it from cinemas, but the TV series is a bit different. For example, the first section is completely new, just not in the theatrical version. Of course, the characters and plots are familiar with the story, but I will also form elements and brand new. This will be the 5-segmental miniseries, check to see how the audience will accept it. I think that this may be a new trend in television productions. In the west miniseries are very popular, we’ll see how it will in Poland. So this is an item that check as part of our strategy for this year.
The station is not afraid of controversy? Film Vega was in fact perceived differently by virtue of the fact that it appears in a form that can be identified with the people piastującymi important functions in the state, and the story refers to a number of important political events of the last few years.
I think this is the value of the series. The authors have the courage to touch the recent Polish history that is alive all the time. This they do in their productions Americans, French, Scandinavians, here is new, but I think it is an interesting phenomenon. So we are not afraid of controversy, I think TV should show things that are sometimes controversial, run some thinking, raise questions. And this show is like that. In Poland, the show is far too cautious, safe, cinema and just begins to move such topics. It is therefore part of our conscious broaden the spectrum of the series. I hope that in the coming years, waiting for us the evolution of the species.
The recent evolution is subject to all television. Do you think the mission of public television in this context also needs to change?
It is interesting and important questions. It seems to me that the mission of public television should be redefined, particularly in the context of the development of the Internet and a revolution that takes place on the television market. The functions and responsibilities of public television should be redefined in terms of both artistic and social or sociological.
What should involve a change in the mission?
Such a prime example of the edge can be a sport. Today, this is no longer about the only mission, is the commercial, there is a strong commercial stations, because some records of missionary sport, whether, for example, the series should be redefined. But this is probably a task for the National Council of Radio and Television. We try to do it ourselves, within our media, and I think we succeeded, because some things that are with us, do not do commercial stations.
As a result of the recent scandal surrounding Kamila Durczok and publication of “On,” a discussion on the problem of bullying and harassment of employees by their superiors in the media. Is TVP 2, therefore, had taken any steps to prevent such behavior among their staff?
It’s all too hot and fresh, you have to wait for the development of the situation. While the Polish Television has for several years a committee that deals with such topics, so there is a mechanism that can entrap harassment cases. I can say from my point of view that the media line between bullying and enforcement of the employees of certain duties and responsibilities can sometimes be fluid. The atmosphere, which created some programs, it is so hot and often tense, that in the case of some heads of issues such programs emotions can be significant. It’s all just a matter of intuition and form, because harassment and bullying as such consent can not be. Therefore, I believe that bullying in the media should be clearly defined. In addition, each such case must be analyzed separately and in my opinion, in the case of the famous last case, you need to be very careful, as the issuance of the courts.
