aired Saturday dominated the probe carried out on the streets. On Sunday initially broadcast programs about the people of the Church, then there was the era of “Time for President” in which Bogdan Zdrojewski, then steward of Wroclaw live phone answering questions from viewers about potholes, broken lamp or littered backyards. – It was a novelty. Then there was a program in which the studio came politician who was questioned live. The president could not prepare, do not know what can be asked. Everything was a disaster, but I do not recall that ever did not answer – says Peter Plebańczyk, then editor ECHO TV. And he adds that ECHA reporters about the topics covered are not the then state television said. – It was not the case for us invalid. We drove to each trench that was dug up for a long time and the holes in the bridges. Called us to a lot of people from different urban problems – Plebańczyk says.

It was known that ECHO is popular and viewed, but it was not clear how big the stakes audience. – Then there was research. We did not know that we have an audience, it could be inferred solely on the basis of the number of phones. Once upon a time, to see how many people asked us watching on the air that all television viewers and lit extinguish the light. Entire neighborhoods have begun to blink. We were afraid that will cause the crash energy, but it was a great joy and an amazing experience – Plebańczyk says.

First private Polish television had to stop the operation in March 1995.
Less professionally, but spontaneously and the idea
What was different from today’s That TV? – Certainly was less professional. We worked on VHS-oh, it was not too many montages, there were two VCRs. Everything had to be done by feel. Technically very different. Most people have here the first contact with the satellite. Everything was spontaneous, editors is countered, but if someone had an idea and enthusiasm consent for its implementation got virtually on the spot – Plebańczyk says.
The pioneering project has become a mine of experience. Employees now defunct ECHO TV joined the ranks of other Polish media.
