Globe for broken TV? Help your child's school - Gazeta.pl

electro is a serious environmental problem. Dispose of used washing machines, refrigerators, blenders, televisions, computers, phones or fluorescent lamps are hazardous waste. Do not throw them into ordinary trash.

To be in compliance with the regulations, in Poland you have to collect 4 kg of electro in per capita per year.

– In Warsaw, each year there should be nearly 7 thousand . tons, but collect much less – says Vice President Jaroslaw Dabrowski. – That’s why we have partnered with the company ElektroEko. We endeavor to inform residents how important it is to electro-not ended up in the rubbish. We put emphasis on education.

But that’s not all: throw into a container for household waste electrical and electronic equipment will end up fine from 500 to 5 thousand. z?. Controlling the containers will begin to implement the reform of the Warsaw junk (scheduled for a February 1). Then residents will support the company selected by the city in the tender. And their staff will look into the garbage.

ElektroEko CEO Grzegorz Skrzypczak explains that the company operates a non-profit. It was established by manufacturers of consumer electronics, home appliances and IT (cooperates with the companies Bosch, Philips, Samsung). – All funds invest in the collection and recovery of waste equipment – he says.

Therefore, Warsaw does not pay for the collection of electro. To get rid of them, of Warsaw can be exported to collection points in districts (Bemowo has two other districts one). They operate on Saturdays in hours. 10-14.

There is another way. After more appliances (refrigerators, washing machines and large TVs), you can call the team ElektroEko which free take them out of the apartment.

However, if we take the trouble to the point we can help schools – in exchange for a commitment there electro, Warsaw residents get special coupons (with watermark). Adopt them willingly schools that participate in the program (there are 247, almost all in Warsaw). – Coupons collected by schools are converted into points that can be exchanged for base materials and educational aids – explains the President of Skrzypczak.

The company, in collaboration with scientists methodologies and Warsaw University of Technology has developed a catalog of school appropriate for elementary students. The list is impressive: interactive whiteboards, maps, microscopes, globes, models of human body parts, sports equipment, projectors, furniture. ElektroEko decided to get involved in the school program, because the obligation of the company, in addition to the collection of equipment, the educational mission. – A collection itself in schools in the pilot program was impressive – says CEO Skrzypczak. – There were such that collected 20 tons of waste. Ordered a lot of sports equipment, interactive whiteboard, furniture for the lounge.

Unfortunately, not everyone knows that the old equipment you can get a coupon educational fund. Therefore, the company wants to reach out leaflets to all of Warsaw. From the mobilization of the local community depends on how you will benefit from the collection of electro-specific facility.
