The menu of both devices is very well done – it looks like a big TV, has a lot of options, it is aesthetically pleasing and in Polish. Also, remote controls are the same as in normal TV.

The image quality of the two devices is different. This is partly used matrices, for LG M2482 has a matrix VA, and Samsung – cheaper TN matrix. Therefore, the first has better viewing angles (though still fa r from the ideal), and the second image seen from a high angle looking slightly. To make matters worse, White displayed on the Samsung T24B300 is slightly greenish color temperature – far too low. Of course, the menu can be increased, but then the darker areas become too cold.

However, other detail, the arguments in favor of LG TV. It has a DVB-T tuner, but apart from the DVB-S (satellite). Both TVs have USB ports that are used for media playback, recording, software, and support for other functions such as pause programs. LG TV has three of these ports, Samsung has only two, but it can be in the menu switch to the hub.

biggest “attraction” of the two, however, are television LAN interfaces and Wi-Fi, as well as the resulting opportunities. They can play content from your computer, smartphone or other devices on the network. They also feature Smart TV, so you can use the app to install additional software, watch content from the Internet. The TV can also connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to conveniently navigate the interface and the web.

In addition, the model LG have a Wi-Fi Direct, which allows you to wirelessly capture an image from a mobile device and display it on the big screen . But Samsung’s device is compliant with Intel’s WiDi solution – you can wirelessly display on the screen of a laptop compatible with this technology. Both also have HDMI inputs, MHL.

Although the tested 27-inch TVs cost a lot, the image quality is not perfect. As is often the screens with LED backlighting, reservations may be uniformity of the backlight. The devi ce LG disappoints the display to go gradient, for example, between light and dark shades of gray. A little too bothered glass that covered the screen and the frame to make it invisible. A side effect is that the glass reflects light more than the matte screen surface of a typical LCD TV.

What to choose

both cheaper and more expensive category were better device LG – are primarily high-quality matrices, as well as additional features (3D, magic remote). So Preselection falls rather on TV that manufacturer, unless you need specific solutions offered by Samsung.

The question is whether to buy a monitor with TV tuner for 1000 z?, or multi-purpose equipment for 2000 z?? In our opinion, it all depends on where you spend more time. If the computer, just cheaper device. If you are watching TV, handy bigger, better and more expensive equipment.
