The President signed a new law on the Constitutional Court – Cable Republic

As reported by the Polish Press Agency, Andrzej Duda signed an amendment to the Law on the Constitutional Court, prepared by the PiS.

As reported by Office of the President, today Andrzej Duda has signed a total of 8 acts – Act amending the Act on shaping the agricultural system and the Law on Land and Mortgage , the Act on the activation of shipbuilding and industries complementary Act of sales tax retail bill to ratify the Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty on the accession of Montenegro, signed in Brussels on 19 May 2016., the Act amending the Act – Law on civil status, Act amending the Act on commercialization and privatization, the Law on the Constitutional Court and the Law amending the Law on supporting the sustainable development of fisheries sector with the participation of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.

the work on the law on the Constitutional Court ended in parliament last week. After being signed by the president, the new law will come into force after 14 days from the announcement.

Amendments of the Senate

July 21 Senate reported 27 amendments to the new law on the Constitutional Court. Amendments related to, among others, the fact that the president could not apply for

consideration of the case to the Court, out of turn influence and that if the disciplinary court ruled to remove a judge from TK, took place without the permission of the President. In addition, the Senate amendments involve the publication of judgments before July 20, with the exception of those normative acts and lost their power, and that the principle of the order of impact will not apply to cases concerning the constitutionality of the objectives or activities of political parties.

July 22 Parliament adopted Senate amendments to the new law on TK and handed the document to the Office of the President.
