Konrad Bukowiecki won the shot put competition at the meeting in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Nineteen-year-Polak received an excellent result 21.01, which is a record for the world junior open stadium. In the 400-meter hurdles triumphed in turn Joanna Linkiewicz.
Bukowiecki thanks to the excellent result of, not only won the competition in Ostrava, but also secured his start at the Olympics in Rio. Poles dominated the competition in the shot put at the meeting Golden Spike Ostrava. Second place went to two-time Olympic champion Tomasz Majewski due to an attempt at a distance of 20 meters and 84 centimeters.
Personal record and the minimum Olympic passed as Joanna Linkiewicz. Polish rider won the 400 meter hurdles with a score of 55.40. The winner ahead of Jamaica second and third Kaliese Spencer, twice world champion from Czech Rep Zuzana Hejnová.
