Television Poland already tested 4K – what does this mean for us? – Spider’s Web

TVP tests carried 4K. Sounds proud and long-term. But there is no reason to enthusiasm, to start the regular channel, especially on the Vistula still far away.

As reported by the specialized media satkurier.pl and sat- charts.eu resort TVP Technology conducted the first major test of receipt and downstream signaling 4K. Polish Television held a reception demo material from Eutelsat satellites, where the image UHD is broadcast in four parts, joined him in the whole HEVC coded and sent within their own network.

This initial attempt to hardware and probably will be further sustained, so technically for a few months, the broadcaster was ready to transfer content in ultra-high resolution.

For us, the spectators at the event, however, does not mean anything. Quick debut 4K channel TVP, TVN, Polsat is not to be expected. Even so, the regular transmission of 4K is not yet in the world. While the movie file is full 4K, the typical content of the television programming schedule has not yet.

Start 4K probably will take place, as in the case of HD. Initially these will be one-two channels of the country, where we see a mix of sports programs, documentaries and films. A little later arise thematic channels in 4K just about the subject, followed by channels appear ogólnotematyczne and equivalents 4K already broadcast channels where 4K will be interspersed with upscale HD.

How much does it take? It is now difficult to estimate how quickly will proceed to implement 4K TV. In terms of hardware price reduction occurs faster than the HD. Note, however, that the HD consisted almost simultaneously with the receivers and LCD TVs. The

first HD Ready receivers appeared in 2000, and the first HD channel in Poland began broadcasting in 2006. Since entering the market first 4K TVs in the fall will be two years and it seems that the period of two consecutive will be sufficient to debut TV channels.

Why 4K TVs, as there is nothing to watch? – Is one of the standard questions. In this text I go back to the assumption that there will be something to watch in the framework of linear TV over the next two years.

But surely if it was vice versa, posypałyby also reverse comments – after which the TV channel when no one has such TV? Besides, the sender has already committed this error when 3D. Soon after the debut of the first television introduced the first stations. Life, however, soon forced trójwymiar glasses. In the case of 4K so try to maintain a certain restraint. At the same time, however, the situation with 3D will not be here for your replay. 4K is the natural evolution of HD. In contrast, forced to put on 3D glasses, switch the TV to 3D mode and the production of dedicated content. In the case of 4K, beyond the new content, we have a rich, film archive.

Testing TVP does not portend anything yet. Do not even show quality especially innovation Polish Television. For channels in the 4K still wait, it does not make sense that you should deny ultrahigh resolution. This will sooner or later we will arrive.
