Apple is going to reduce about 10% the production of its range of iphones in the first quarter 2017, reported Friday the newspaper the japanese Nikkei on the basis of calculations made from data provided by sub-contractors of the u.s. group.
“The indications on the production of the latest models and the global sales suggest a drop in production of both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in the next quarter,” writes the Nikkei.
The firm to the apple, he recalled, had already reduced its production of smartphones in January-march 2016 to adjust its inventories. Then, it was the iPhone 6.
A sub-contractor to the japanese cited by the journal indicates that the demand from chinese manufacturers of smartphones is expected to mitigate in part the impact of the measures taken by Apple, as the demand for the automotive sector, more and more greedy in the high technologies.
